SWPBS at Corryong College

School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) is a framework that brings together school communities to develop positive, safe, supportive learning cultures. SWPBS assists schools to improve social, emotional, behavioural and academic outcomes for children and young people.

What does it look like at Corryong College?
  • Clear behaviour expectations are developed around our core school values.
  • Behaviour expectations are visible within 5 minutes of entering the school through SWPBS boards.
  • Students can confidently articulate the school’s behaviour expectations.
  • Positive behaviours are consistently recognised and celebrated.
  • Student leaders model and acknowledge positive behaviours, setting an example for peers.
  • Positive behaviours are explicitly taught, reinforced, and encouraged in all areas of the school.
  • Data is regularly collected and used to inform decision-making and improve practices.
  • The approach is team-based, involving staff, students, and the community.
